Literature Text

Too far to the edge and you can't go back -
all the scenery changes when you pass the horizon
if you turn around it gets you all turned around
and even the faces aren't the same ones you thought you left

Unequalibrium took over the boat you used to row
there's a wavy sea that you can't see or be
if you hadn't been impetuous, you'd have noticed the current
it's a ripple on an earthquake from the mind of one you know

Don't believe the people you hold close now
a physical connection that seems sweet can get quite sticky
kisses can be foolish when the lips are mum and shady
and even though the parts all fit, there's so much more that doesn't

Hike it all back a bit and try a different sunrise
grab your oars, the ones you gave away
step aside from the place you think you are now
get a handle on the life that wants to ruin you.
You won't follow it. I know it because you never read my stuff on dA. You probably don't even know I have an account.

There is such an inexpressible sadness and anger in this that makes this piece outstanding; it's heart-wrenching. The first and fourth stanzas hit close to home.
